Luminaries Quilt

This quilt that I have been working on is called Luminaries by Sew Liberated No. 120, and I have to say, as much as I love the how this quilt is coming along, it also sucks!  The template they give in the directions, had to be resized to actually fit the damn finished star and made me spend a TON of time retro fitting each and every flipping star 'leg'
These little bastards, yes ALL of these.

So that I could make all of these little bastards.
Which then made me make this HUGE nest pile, wasting more of my precious time.
Give to the birds? Yes? No?
But now that I am seeing the end finally in sight, I am happy for all the time that I wasted trimming, trimming, trimming.  Once I reconfigured that template to what it SHOULD be, it went a buttload faster.
Finally some progress
Getting these buggers all stitched up!
Hopefully I will get this fargen bastage off my plate soon and finally have my cutting table back so I can move on to another project!  Christmas will be here before I know it!

My husband is a F***ING STUD!

Yes, I sleep with this man, I must be Wonder Woman!
This is how I got to spend part of my Halloween, with these super heroes.  The kids at Seattle Children's became so excited when they saw them coming!  I only got permission from one parent to photograph her child, so I have wiped out the faces of the others so as not to violate any thing, but this one child stole my heart and his mom said it was okay.
He spied them coming before I did and ran to the window.

And insisted on taking their picture-several times.
Look at that beautiful smile!
We had an employee join our picture taking that turned out to be Captain America, and Super girl got out of her chair to join the fun.
Super girl!
I have to say, that the adults were more excited than some of the kids and wanted their pictures taken with these heroes!
You gotta dig that!  OOH! OOH! AHH! AHH!
