So this year, one of our window accounts, who happens to be Seattle Children's Hospital, asked us to dress up while we hang off the sides of their buildings doing their windows, that just so happens to fall on the days of Halloween week. Now my husband's nickname in our industry has always been Spiderman, so it was only fitting he BE Spiderman for Halloween for the kids. So the rest of our crew gets to dress up as Super Heroes too, so here we are trying on some of our duds! Isn't he cute? I had to do a little sewing though to customize his mask so that it fits right. I ask you, who wouldn't want to sleep with Spiderman?
I dig everything. I pick everything. I quilt lots of things. You should too.

Weekend madness!
So I had an absolutely delightful weekend at an annual retreat that I get honorarily invited to by the Clothing and Textile Association every October. This is my 4th(?) year going and it is up at Camp Huston here in WA state. One of the loveliest drives evah! It always goes by too fast though, especially when you have taken the effort to haul your entire sewing room up there. But! The show of hands has decided that an additional day shall be added next year! Yay!
I didn't take any photos of all the stuff I did, mostly it was a lot of basting, 4 quilts. That seemed to take up most of my time. I did get the baby quilt for my girlfriend Jenny's new arrival done in time for the shower this weekend though! Let's see how this post went and maybe I will have time to post another one and let you see a peek at what I am working on next! OOH, OOH, AHH, AHH!
This is my Aunt Shirley, the one who started the madness by including me.
This lovely is by Cathie, I don't know her last name, but we belong to the mutual admiration society
My friend Louise's WIP. I don't usually gravitate to purple, but I have made this exception as it is in batiks!
This lovely was made by my friend Mary Hickey and she finally got it bound after 2 years of applique and construction. We didn't notice it was sideways until after I has put the camera away
Barb's very first quilt ever. Love the colors!
Judy's first quilt that SHE decided to quilt, very cool!
Another Barb's (there were 3) quilt for her second grandbaby. Proud Grandma, looking good!

Farting around until I get it!
Well I am gonna fart around on this thing until I get it and try something new every day. Today I am going to attempt linking on this blog. I want to add a button to the guilds that I belong to, but can't quite figure that one out yet either.
On Saturday, I went to one of our guild's SEW IN, which I usually never get to do because it is a big work day for me in my hair salon. But, I had already booked it out months ago to go down to Portlandia to the quilt show down there. I wanted to take an Angela Walter's class but never pulled my head out enough to get it together. Alas, I hung out with another group of creative chippies. These are some photos of the charity quilt that is being created for a charity that I have already forgotten the name of, but it is a good one, homeless something or other.

Adding to the insanity
So here I am again today, adding to the insanity of my obsession at the moment. This is my sewing studio where I lovingly sit daily and pick out fabrics that I dig, and put on my design wall and scratch my head over. Right now I am working on a baby quilt for a first time mom friend of mine that I have been friends with for many long years. We had actually gone to junior high together, but did not actually start swinging from trees until high school graduation-when things got really swinging! Fun times, and now she is embarking on one of the most exciting time in a gal's life and I am so happy for her. Her monkey tree is about to shake!
Just a small portion of my cache
current project mess
King size quilt unfinished for our bed on top of multiple unfinished quilt tops. I want a long arm to complete my insane obsession.
what my cutting table looks like most of the time
where I sit and think. A lot.

Trying this again!
Some times I just need to pull my head out. Where did all the fun colors for templates to choose from go? So now am reposting a picture to see what happens with this on the blog. This was a quilt I made for a 'Star' challenge for our guild that I belong to here in Seattle. It turned out pretty nice I think and am pleased. Hope you like it too, whomever you turns out to be. Can I get a OOH,OOH, AH, AH!
Just don't get it!
So I cannot seem to get my head wrapped around this whole blogging thing. I think I want to do this, but this monkey still cannot seem to pull her head out of her monkey butt and get the editing component of how I want this damn thing to look! I have an idea, then I play around with it. That doesn't work. So then I play around with it some more. I end up deleting things off the template and then can't retrieve them. Ack! So frustrating and confusing for me, that I just want to fling my poo at it! But I digress. Let's try this again.
